Monday Musings

Had a wonderful weekend. The boys left on Friday to spend the first week of summer with their dad, so Saturday was just a veg, lay-around while it rained day. Sunday was Father's Day and Sarah and I cooked crab, scallops and shrimp for dinner. Then had a triple-chocolate ice cream cake for dessert with eclairs. Randy and Sarah spent the day hanging out, snuggling, napping, playing PSP against each other.

I found this link on Ali Edwards site, which is a documentation from The Simple Woman's Daybook.
FOR TODAY

June 22st, 2009

Outside my window...my yard still needs to be finished being weeded.

I am thinking...that tomorrow will start my plan to clean and organize my scraproom while the kids are away.

I am thankful for...finding love again!

From the kitchen...Left over crab and scallops from the weekend.

I am wearing...white cords and black shirt.

I am creating...a (mu)'shroom layout with plans for many more!

I am going...to have tea before bedtime.

I am reading...The Immortal Prince by Jennifer Fallon

I am hoping...that I will be disciplined enough to get my scraproom done by Friday.

I am hearing...the TV with Jon and Kate Plus 8 hour special abount the 'announcement'.

Around the house...the rugs need to be vacuumed and laundry put away

One of my favorite things...is getting pampered before bedtime with my tea.

A few plans for the rest of the week...workout every day, clean scrap room, head down to unemployment for training paperwork if my new SS card comes in the mail.

Friday Fill-In!

School ended yesterday! HOORAY! well, kinda.... lol Matt looks like he 'passed' his junior year, but won't be official till I get his report card. And Justin's report card was what I expected. It's time to work more on writing this summer.

So, just to keep the momentum going of using this blog, here is the Friday Fill-ins!

1. Lassie go home.

2. My favorite thing for dinner lately has been crab.

3. Ruff! bark! bark! bark!

4. A nice long walk on the beach at sunset.

5. I need some good news.

6. When all is said and done, cozy up with the one you love.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to snuggling before bedtime, tomorrow my plans include shopping at Old Navy and Sunday, I want to wish my Dad a happy Fathers Day!

One day down...

Well, today didn't go as planned, but that is ok. I didn't sleep well and was up to 2:30, so slept in longer then I wanted. I did check the TV and found that there are exercise programs on demand! How cool is that? So now I can work out whenever I want if I find a program that I like, and they supposedly change them every month so you don't get bored. I didn't get back out to the lawn and pull some more weeds. I didn't go through a portion of my scrapbook room. I did however get a call about a job and needed to finish up a questionnaire and email it off by 3pm; also needed to take the S and J over to the book store for some mandatory reading for the summer.
Otherwise, just another ordinary day!

I have really meant to get back here... really I have. I just seem to be slacking but time to get my butt in gear and really start on working what I need too. So, first thing tomorrow (as I am typing in bed right now) will start the new day. I have plans that I want to do, and need to start each one a little bit each day so I don't get overwhelmed and say screw it.

1. Need to do some exercising... walking, riding, something!
2. Make a plan for the yard - lawn, fence, birdhouses, dog run, etc.
3. Clean out lil sections of my scraproom - organize it, trash it, donate it.
4. Blog a lil = at least 3x a week!

K... I have it written, so it must be done... right?

Scrapping stuff!

Well, I think that I've found my blogging problem. I feel that I need to have a 'big' post of things, with witty sayings and pictures, and stuff. So maybe if I do one everytime I think of something, it would work out better. =)

So, first scrappy thing that I've run across today as I'm cleaning out my emails...

Creative Scrappers is having their Sketchfest 2, which is a great time to get into the scrapping mood and get pages down! I am going to try to do some of them this time around, but have to 'block' out time to get them done. Will try my best and post them when and if I get any done.

See... that wasn't so bad now, was it? ;)

Friday Fill-In!

Well another week went by without me updating....again. You'd think I'd remember as I sit in front of my computer all week playing games. But thought I'd get the newest Friday fill in done....

1. My stomach is full of biscuits and gravy!
2. Turkey and gravy is what I ate the most of on Thursday.
3. The yard is a mess of leaves, weeds and overgrown plants.
4. Snuggling with Randy is where I'd rather be at any given time.
5. The smell of turkey reminds me of moms kitchen.
6. A kids free weekend is what I need right now!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _____, tomorrow my plans include _____ and Sunday, I want to _____! Hmmmmmm missed those, didn't I? But thats ok - will do better this week!

Friday Fill-In!

Well, I finally caught up on the wonderful blogs I love to read, and on Emilie Ahern's blog..... Emilie Ahern .... that she found this wonderful site Friday Fill-Ins.

So here's my take of this past Friday's fill ins....

1. The last band I saw live was Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
2. What I look forward to most on Thanksgiving is turnips. (if you don't celebrate thanksgiving, insert your favorite holiday)
3. My Christmas/holiday shopping is just about to start on Black Friday.
4. Thoughts of chores fill my head.
5. I wish I could wear that old black slinky dress again.
6. Bagpipes make my heart sing.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to seeing Karl, tomorrow my plans include vegging out and Sunday, I want to start on cleaning the house for the holidays!

How great is this? Just some random thoughts to fill out - to keep track of the normal every day things in our lives!
