The boys left on Friday to spend the first week of summer with their dad, so Saturday was just a veg, lay-around while it rained day. Sunday was Father's Day and Sarah and I cooked crab, scallops and shrimp for dinner. Then had a triple-chocolate ice cream cake for dessert with eclairs. Randy and Sarah spent the day hanging out, snuggling, napping, playing PSP against each other.

I found this link on Ali Edwards site, which is a documentation from The Simple Woman's Daybook.
FOR TODAY

June 22st, 2009

Outside my window...my yard still needs to be finished being weeded.

I am thinking...that tomorrow will start my plan to clean and organize my scraproom while the kids are away.

I am thankful for...finding love again!

From the kitchen...Left over crab and scallops from the weekend.

I am wearing...white cords and black shirt.

I am creating...a (mu)'shroom layout with plans for many more!

I am going...to have tea before bedtime.

I am reading...The Immortal Prince by Jennifer Fallon

I am hoping...that I will be disciplined enough to get my scraproom done by Friday.

I am hearing...the TV with Jon and Kate Plus 8 hour special abount the 'announcement'.

Around the house...the rugs need to be vacuumed and laundry put away

One of my favorite things...is getting pampered before bedtime with my tea.

A few plans for the rest of the week...workout every day, clean scrap room, head down to unemployment for training paperwork if my new SS card comes in the mail.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08899916697992253177noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1057103674823347027.post-36041990248243343652009-06-19T22:32:00.000-07:002009-06-19T22:44:36.294-07:00Friday Fill-In!School ended yesterday! I didn't sleep well and was up to 2:30, so slept in longer then I wanted. I did check the TV and found that there are exercise programs on demand! How cool is that? So now I can work out whenever I want if I find a program that I like, and they supposedly change them every month so you don't get bored. I didn't get back out to the lawn and pull some more weeds. I didn't go through a portion of my scrapbook room. I did however get a call about a job and needed to finish up a questionnaire and email it off by 3pm; also needed to take the S and J over to the book store for some mandatory reading for the summer.
Otherwise, just another ordinary day!Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08899916697992253177noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1057103674823347027.post-23332881300764159332009-06-16T22:38:00.000-07:002009-06-16T22:47:01.908-07:00I have really meant to get back here... really I have. I just seem to be slacking but time to get my butt in gear and really start on working what I need too. So, first thing tomorrow (as I am typing in bed right now) will start the new day. I have plans that I want to do, and need to start each one a little bit each day so I don't get overwhelmed and say screw it.

1. Need to do some exercising... walking, riding, something!
2. Make a plan for the yard - lawn, fence, birdhouses, dog run, etc.
3. Clean out lil sections of my scraproom - organize it, trash it, donate it.
4. Blog a lil = at least 3x a week!

K... I have it written, so it must be done... right?Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08899916697992253177noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1057103674823347027.post-78558280024482546512008-11-30T14:15:00.000-08:002008-11-30T14:21:18.672-08:00Scrapping stuff!Well, I think that I've found my blogging problem. I feel that I need to have a 'big' post of things, with witty sayings and pictures, and stuff. So maybe if I do one everytime I think of something, it would work out better. =)

So, first scrappy thing that I've run across today as I'm cleaning out my emails...

Creative Scrappers is having their Sketchfest 2, which is a great time to get into the scrapping mood and get pages down! I am going to try to do some of them this time around, but have to 'block' out time to get them done. Will try my best and post them when and if I get any done.

See... that wasn't so bad now, was it? ;)Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08899916697992253177noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1057103674823347027.post-19323258662321827912008-11-30T13:06:00.001-08:002008-11-30T13:13:08.747-08:00Friday Fill-In!Well another week went by without me updating....again. I'm jet lagged... hehehehe.... but not as bad as Matthew. Not sure what was up with the shirt on the head, but that's my boy in the morning!

I was up already, but not as early as Justin. He was raring to go... since there was snow on the ground and he wanted to play. So bundled him off and sent him on the back patio for now. The house doesn't really have a back yard right now. It's all just trees and boulders. So J played on the deck for a bit, throwing off huge chunks of snow below. Which was good since it needed to be cleaned off for the weekend party anyway, just in case the house got over crowded, or for people to go and get some air. He then went down to the yard' to try to make snow angels, but no such luck. The snow and an icy coating on it, so it didn't work out very well =(

But not due to his lack of trying, that's for sure.

I was very surprised for how long he stayed outside, but he seemed to be having a blast. Justin was very excited and he and John-Alex went out the deck to fee them left over stale bread to try to get them to come closer. It was going to be awhile that I could have a semi-vacation with the new job starting the following Tuesday.

The morning was working out great... Matt got through securty fine and headed to the Alaska flight. Justin and I got through and waited for the Contential flight..... until 10 minutes before Matt's flight was supopse to take off. He didn't have his flight benefit card. Of course, I wouldn't have it... why would I? So there goes the phone calls trying to find his father to get him one ASAP. Luckily that all worked out and he got on the flight.

The flights into Newark worked out great and Matthew landed about 45 minutes after Justin and I did. Perfect timing! In truth was thinking that there was some help with F&K on that. After taking the airbus from terminal C to terminal A and finding Matthew in the crowds (thank goodness for cell phones!), we waited for John to pick us up on the curb. He picked up an extra shift that day so that he would be at the airport anyway and not waste a good day. He drove up, with someone in the front seat with him. At first was thinking it was a coworker he was dropping off but nope.... it was DAD! WOO HOO!! What a great surprise for both of us! He didn't know either, just in case we couldn't get into town. And it was his birthday too! What a great surprise!

So the boys got to spend some time with "Pops". It's been so many years that they've seen him, that it was a good thing we were able to make it in earlier.

Debra had dinner ready for us - 2 kinds of meatlof and mashed potatotes and all the fixin's. We then sang Happy Birthday to Dad on his apple pie. It was a really great first night. We sat around and caught up and laughed. (as well as we did on the hour and half ride home from the airport!)

That pretty much ended our first day/night there are it was already past 9:00 ECT and the little ones needed to rest up.

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08899916697992253177noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1057103674823347027.post-40993774488710060332008-10-23T10:31:00.000-07:002008-10-23T13:40:14.267-07:00woo hoo! I have a store... literally a store... in my home. Unfortunately I don't feel confident in my abilities. I get lulls more often then not, so have to scraplift. But then I get a burst of creativity and compose my own. But still feel that it's not good enough to get published. Thats my goal for next year.... to get a layout published in a magazine. Will be a long road I think, but I need to say that I didn't try. So.... thats my goal. And it seems that it might boost my confidence to be invited as part of a design team. Yet another reason to have a blog. So here's my promise to myself.....

Start a blog (DONE!)

Post layouts as well as journaling

Actually send in layouts to magazines.

Try out for design teams periodically

Short list..... but sooooooo hard for me to do.

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08899916697992253177noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1057103674823347027.post-31515618378077821092008-10-19T16:41:00.000-07:002008-10-19T16:48:17.786-07:00Day One.......It seems that I am behind the times.....

Time to upgrade..... time to blog.

Not to sure about this blogging thing.... writing out your thoughts, dreams.... life. The goods, the bads, the ups and downs.

Always wanted to journal. Keep a diary. Read back on what happened in my life last week, last year, last decade. Too bad I didn't. Memories fade. Lots of lost ideas, feelings, thoughts.

Maybe this will work..... maybe.

But it's time to try.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08899916697992253177noreply@blogger.com0
